# Quirk in the Google Mirror on Discourse

The cause of the quirk when some Google posts are mirrored on Discourse is due to the **“From”** address in the posts. Every post has to belong to someone. When Discourse can decipher an email address in the Google post, it will match it to a current user (if one exists or create a “staged” (fake) user based on the email address. So, it’s perfectly happy with a From of:
