# Volvo 130S SailDrive

Wondering if anyone else has a 130S sail drive installed. We’re mid diaphragm swap and noticed that not all the bolts on the collar were used. Any comparisons to share?

That saildrive bed looks like one for the original Volvo MD11C and 110s saildrive power train. The 110s had fewer bolts mounting the drive to the bed. Looks like “you” have repowered with a newer VP engne and the 130s. When I powered from the 11C and 110s to the 130s, I installed additional backing plates in the saildrive bed so all of the holes in the mounting ring were used. That imvolved drilling access holes in the side of the bed and then epoxing backing plates in place, then filling the holes and covering with additional glass. Not very much fun. My rationale was that if the 130s was designed to be secured with a certain number of bolts then it should be.
