My CAT heater which worked so well last year particularly during my voyage south December through February until we got below Charleston has now decided not to work anymore. Maybe it’s time for a replacement. Would like to hear from someone who has gone down this path before. Should I just get a new CAT heater or is there something better now? I’ve seen the Dickenson fireplace models but can’t determine if one would be an adequate replacement for the CAT. Then there’s the hole in wall to be filled.
Do you know about this fellow, “Arnie,” who has a nice business niche carved out repairing CAT power-vented heaters?
He used to work at the company that made the units originally, has plans and tooling and knowhow for overhauling them. He did a great job on mine a few years ago, and if you would like to add years of life to your current unit, with which you sound satisfied, he can accomplish the job. Good luck ,
