I switched a small 2 blade flex-o-fold designed for a gas engine to a three blade Australian stainless steel Slipstream folder from Seahawk that matched my Universal diesel perfectly. I could not afford European props in 2006 but needed to switch because Mascouche could only reach four knots with a following breeze with the engine running flat out. Now she is happy logging five knots with the Universal running at 2,000 rpm. Excellent control when docking with no kick to the side. No maintenance issues eithers in 13 years of operation. It has a good all round performance based on prop testing by Sail Magazine and Yachting Monthly.
