My wife and I just closed on a 30c and we’re going to pick her up next Sunday and sail her from her current birth at Bainbridge Island to our berth at the Port of Everett! We spent almost 8 months searching and finally settled on the Nonsuch after looking at a plethora of other boats and not finding the right fit.
We’ll b cruising in Puget Sound for the next few years so if you’re in the area holla!

Welcome to the Nonsuch community. Fair winds on your shakedown cruse to your berth in Everett. Kathy and I live on the northeast coast so chances of ever meeting are few but with this group and our rendezvous’s one never knows.

Welcome – it looks like you’re already finding a lot of good Nonsuch people out there.
I see you saw the welcome thread for Rahsaan. That’s great, because it saves me from having to be that guy who always posts about the INA and New Nonsuch Owners’ Guide.
It’s beautiful up your way. Not 78 degrees and went sailing three times this week beautiful like SoCal, but you definitely win on scenery.
I am a new owner myself, 30U. Got mine just in time to winterize her, so you will be ahead of me in experience even though you purchased after me. I am in the New England area. Enjoy!
Hey fellow newbe non such owner! Yesterday was my first trip and I would love to hear about your first journey. After Yesterday’s first trip I need to create a checklist for getting underway. There is so much to remember and I think i forgot about everything from safety and docking to where I put the keys! But arrived safely with only one minor mishap.

Hey Eric & Rahsaan,
Welcome to the club. You made a great choice- the Nonsuch is perfect for exploring our waters, and just daysailing.
And one bit of advice is to put the key on the kingston cock so you always remember to open and close it! And the other is to join the Northwest Nonsuch Niagara Association. We have a nice rendezvous every summer and we’d look forward to meeting both of you!
Interesting. I’ve got too many seacocks to open and close them every time I go out, so I don’t. I keep my engine key in the drawer with the winch handles because I used to forget to put them out - 100% of the time!
Hey Bob, we get down to LA for long weekends occasionally so a day at sea is always welcome! And we aren’t ruling out coastal trips but that’s out a bit as we learn the ins and outs of Puget Sound.
Hi Brian, I submitted a request on the NNNA FB page. We’re planning on doing as much on water activities this year as possible so looking forward to the details on the meet up!
