Boom motion is generally bothers me most when in steep swells and light air, as with any sailboat regardless of rig. With the sail down, motoring into swells is a good time to have a keeper line on the end of the boom in addition to a tight mainsheet.
However, you’ll probably get better answers if you specify the sailing grounds you have in mind and what kinds of seas you mean by a seaway.
We rarely get winds over 20 or seas over 4-6 feet in my neighborhood, and I can’t say I’ve had any particular concerns about boom movement under those conditions.

What the boom tends to do when you are motoring in a bit of a chop, is to go “ba-bang … ba-bang”, as it clunks, side-to-side, against the mast. Bob is right about about the tight mainsheet and you could tighten the choker, drawing the boom back, creating less space and opportunity for the boom to move, side-to-side.
