I watched the movie “I’ll see you in my dreams” last night and saw a Nonsuch 26 or 30 in the background shot of a marina. Movie locale was L.A. but not sure of the marina. Anyone know who’s boat it was??

When I was living aboard BIANKA at Chelsea Piers in New York City in the 1990’s. One day I was approached by a location producer for a TV series called The Street. He inquired if I would be interested in renting my boat to the production for a film shoot. I declined because of insurance concerns and the idea of having a film crew trampling over the deck was not really appealing. So the discussion did not go much further.
I have not seen the movie either but it gets good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. I assume that is because of the Nonsuch in the film. I read the plot summary and don’t think I will be watching the full feature.
A friend of mine owns a wooden 53 foot (depending on if he is bragging or paying moorage) that was made in the 1950s. He had not owned it for long when he was contacted by a movie company. He decided to allow the shoot. He said the boat looked better after they left then before they got there. The lead actor (actress) was smart, good looking and really nice. He got to chat with her between takes. He was also happy with the payment he received. I don’t think the boat gets any royalties.
