Quick way to Build a WIKI (or a Different Category)

We have a variety of controls that we can put in place to define what goes into a wiki a.k.a. knowledge base - we can create sub-categories, restrict tags to a pre-defined set, control who can post, set up a review and edit process, create a group that can do the rewrites, etc. We can restrict who can post, or let people post and periodically integrate any new nuggets into the base posting, etc, etc

On the other hand, I took Rob’s post that included some unrelated but good advice about the mast bolts and (as someone with permissions) clicked the wrench, made it a wiki, did a quick edit, saved it, unmade it a wiki, tagged it, and moved it to the Wiki category in not much time at all.

This is not an either / or - there is a place for both of these approaches and a way we can organize the site to get both some quick benefits from postings and some well organized content.

New idea - after a topic has run its course, if it has good reusable insights, we can get an AI summary and use that as a Wiki post with a link at the bottom back to the original complete topic.
