I also would like to know if wheel can be removed without much trouble. The add does not show how the wheel and motor are interconnected but when I lift the engagement lever the wheel of course turns freely. Doesn’t that imply that the wheel is free from the drive motor and can be removed? I have been tempted to try it but have never been sure of the trouble I would causing.

Good point, Brian. I may have answered too quickly.
It might be that the engagement lever disconnects the motor and the wheel plus attachment can be pulled out and put back in at will.
The best way to decide would be to review the installation manuals, I think.
