Thru hull and prop shaft diameter

Is this untouchable while in the water?

Also how does a prop shaft diameter of one inch sound for my boat?

Roger: I see one thing I don’t like and it’s that there is no backing plate to distribute the load where the thru hull comes through. Because of that, and to prevent a catastrophic leak if someone accidently kicks that, I would carefully remove that elbow. The next time the boat is hauled, replace or eliminate it altogether.

Joe thanks! Do you think this is original or installed after build? It supplies water to the air conditioning pump.
