Hi all. I’ve not uncovered anything in prior conversations about covering a Nonsuch 22.
I know about Fairclough, having purchased a cover for my 26 and found it to be very fine. They say they have not done a cover for 22, so they would need to template and that probably won’t be something they get to this season.
So I’m open to other options. Would be great if any other owners of a 22 have had a cover made that they like. Or successfully engineered something on their own.
Thanks.

Joe, that’s an interesting approach. What was the spec on the fabric?
My boat will be on the hard, mast down, and boom on sawhorses on deck.
I’m in a spot with significant wind exposure.
The Fairclough cover I had on my 26 in the same location stood up pretty well the first 15 years, but did eventually blow up in a nor’easter. I was there and the only thing for it at that point was to cut it away before it sailed the boat off her stands. Given the conditions, if the winter were shorter or less snowy I don’t think I’d bother to cover.
Anyhow, you’ve given me something to think about while I keep looking.

I used TopNotch 9 from Sailrite. I have one of their sewing machines so that was no issue, but it was a lot of fabric to deal with.
I Designed it into 2 sections with zippers to connect the fore and aft sections. We have a lot of heavy wind on the Chesapeake in the winter and had no visible wear after the 1st season.
