I have two electric Outboards from this company. Including the Carry unit you saw at the Annapolis boat show and previous model called the Electric Paddle. Both work great. Currently, I tend to use the Electric Paddle more because it is a little lighter than the Carry unit. Still both weigh much less than the Honda BP- 2 4-stroke outboard I used before though. Both units store easily in the Nonesuch cockpit Locker. I only use them when the wind conditions look like they may make rowing out to the mooring a chore. They are light enough that removing them off the dingy is a piece of cake. I can also charge their batteries onboard with a 300 watt charger if needed.

Once saw a set up with a trolling motor. Two AGM’s under the dinghy seat, a solar panel as the seat. Owner claimed that’s all it took. As the cost and complexity of Li batteries drop these options increase in functionality. But I’ll confess I like my Honda 2hp “angry bee” . A gallon of gas lasts about 10 days when we are out and about…
