I prepare the Registry for the INA. I am starting to work on the 2025 Registry. If you have not signed up/renewed your membership in the INA, now would be a good time to jump on it - that way you will be in the Registry and will get a physical copy of it. And if you have renewed but not updated your personal information, if you do it now, it will make it to the 2025 Registry.
After reading your mailing, I wondered if I had paid. Searched my e-mails for December 2024 and found that I had paid. I just searched “INA”, and it was an easy find.
You can also login to INA website and look at your account. If it says your next renewal is Jan 1/26, then you must have paid for 2025. If it says Jan 1/25, then you have not paid, then please do so.
Thanks
Regarding renewals:
If you listed payment info as “Renewed to” it would eliminate the ambiguity of this item - whether this is a request or statement of fact.
“Active” lower down suggests that one is renewed. Thanks.

I joined late in the year. Does my membership expire at the end of 2024? If I am still in discussion groups is that a sign I remain a member?

Please go to the Nonsuch web page (https://nonsuch.org/) and login. You will then see your name near top right corner, click on this to view your profile and membership details. If it says your next renewal is Jan 1/26, then you have paid for 2025. If it says Jan 1/25, then you have not paid, then please do so. Generally speaking, if you joined late in the year, then your membership fee covers the remainder of the current year plus the next year.
The discussion group membership is independent of the association.
Although the Discussion Group is a service provided by the International Nonsuch Association, it is a free service that is extended to non-members.
Your admission to the Discussion Group was through a separate process required by Google. Simply being in the discussion group provides no information about your INA membership status.
To check your INA membership status, go to www.Nonsuch.org and log on (if you remember the email you used to join).
Lloyd … I think I speak for many when I say - thank you - for your efforts. This wouldn’t happen without your hard work.

Well, I am in a jam on the Registry. I have about 100 photos of Nonsuches (admittedly 40 are of Cotton Eye Joes sailing), and according to our printers, none of them are suitable for the covers (including the photo that was used last year for the cover - go figure). So, another call for photos that meet the following requirements:
with separate front and back covers: 5.75" (w) x 8.75" (h) at a minimum of 300 dpi.
With a joint f/b cover (like last year): 11.25 (w) x 8.75 (h) at a minimum of 300 dpi.
Going over some of the photos I have collected, there was one that the photo software that came with my computer said was 2400 dpi, but the site said it was 96. Another go figure.
If you send any photos (and please do!), please include some info - the when and where, boat name if not apparent, and if you did not take the photo, the name of the photographer.
Thanks. I would love to finish off the Registry so I can go uncover our boat. It is supposed to be 79 F here on Long Island on Saturday!
Do have a couple images you would like to use that don’t meet the the printers requirement that you could share?
I’m thinking maybe they can be massaged into working with some light editing. I’m willing to give it a try and there may be a few others with a better eye than me that would also be willing to lend a hand.

I just sent Lloyd some candidates which I was able to upsize using Digital Photo Professional 4, which is software that I got access to simply by owning a Canon camera.
If other people have alternate candidates they want to offer that aren’t currently meeting the 300 dpi requirement, you might want to see if this helps you, as well.
I have been ambushed like this as well. Moving images via email/messaging seems to be the main cause of degradation. Even uploading to google can reduce the quality.
The best option is a photo service like pBase or Flicker where you can store photos in their original resolution.

thanks all for your assistance. We got the problem sorted. The printer did some magic and got a pair of photos I had to work. I will save those sent to my folder of Nonsuch photos for the future!
