Regrets? What did you use for a DC to DC converter?

Most of the schematics I’ve looked at use an Orion XS by Victron.
Soave has 8yo AGM ( Firefly Carbon Mat ) batteries approaching end of life. I did a fair amount of research, and decided that I’d stick with AGM for the next cycle of batteries. We keep Soave at a dock with power, so our battery use case is different from boats kept on a mooring.

I’m in the middle of it right now. I got a victron 50a dc dc converter. It goes from alternator to both battery banks. Avoid the 30a as it gets really hot. The 50 is more expensive but better tech.
