Personally, I’m working to reduce complexity, so I can improve reliability and reduce costs.
I like Bluetooth for monitoring and calibration, the stuff you use before casting off.
I like WIFI for data while at the dock. I especially like remote monitoring the boat from my home because I am more than an hour drive away.
I like NMEA 2000 as a backbone for information flow while sailing.
Have fun with whatever you pursue, and most of all, get out on the water as much as possible.
