Group Rates is $180

A side note - an actively supported system handles SPAM. Discourse blocked the post, silenced the user, and notified the system admins to review these actions. Google Groups, at this point, just seems to be running on autopilot.

(AI generated summaries, AI assisted searches, SPAM detection, editing after posting, topic merging and splitting, messaging, chat, keyword tagging, auto-search for matching topics when creating, …, or use it as a plain old mailing list like Google)

Just sayin’

Actually, I’m the person Joe referred to as trying to deal with it. I’m currently moderating both the Google INA Discussion Group and the Discourse Nonsuch Community Forum.

Acting as moderator, I deleted the original message from the Google Discussion Group several days ago. The original sender sent it to the Discussion Group by mistake. He was happy to have it deleted. It was an honest mistake, and there’s no reason to delete that person.

The problem is, as Jon points out, Google isn’t any help with this. You know how it came to my attention? Not with any help from Google. If got flagged when it was mirrored in Discourse, so I went back over to Google to take care of it.

And, by the way, there’s another problem with this in Google. Every time anyone who got the original responds with a comment that the original post was a nuisance, their post brings this $@#$!$ zombie back.

Those of you who haven’t already, PLEASE take a look at Discourse. I find that it makes life easier.
