New Nonsuch 354 owner with my first question of this incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic group.
I’m having a storage cradle made locally for my N354 and it would be most helpful to start with the basic cradle dimensions (width & length between the pads and height of the pad support posts). I contacted The Cradle Shop in Ontario but they are not permitted to give out engineering specific information including these dimensions. So I was looking for assistance from any N33 or N354 owner that uses a storage cradle in the off season that could share your cradle dimensions with me.
Doug
Mine is a Marine Cradle Shop 6 post cradle which I had made 10 years ago when I bought my 33. I can give you several photos and dimensions you mentioned later this week after the heavy rain has passed.
Doug, did you buy #74 KIAHUNA from Bart Lackie from Tweed, ON, who bought it from John & Carol Carruthers from Picton, ON?
Incidentally, I was just in Plymouth, Michigan last weekend to visit my 92 yr old dad, who hails from Mancelona near your home in Traverse City and to attend my 50th high school reunion!
Unlike our fine Nonsuch vessels, it was tough to recognize many of my classmates after so many years…!
Ken, Thanks for the assistance. A 6 pad cradle is exactly what I’m planning on having built.
Michael, You are correct on the history of the N354 I’ve purchased. Would love to catch up with to discuss how you have your N354 rigged. Next time you’re in MI you need to let me know so we can go sailing!
You must have attended a strange school, indeed. When I attended my school reunion, NONE of my old schoolmates looked anything like any sailboat that I have ever owned !!
