Does anyone else have a Speedseal Impeller cover? I’m looking for the size of the O-Ring to order new ones. The company is now out of business, and the measurements are not an exact match to what I’ve found.

Just to follow up, I purchased 3 sizes of o-rings from Grainger and McMaster Carr to see which ones matched the original and fit correctly. The ones from McMaster Carr, sized at 1.5mm x 52mm fit perfectly. Assuming I change them once a year each time I replace the impeller, I now have 24 more years of o-rings.

Good information update. I installed a Speed Seal cover back around 2006. Also had to change out the water pump to one that fit the cover. Look like it would make changing the water impeller much easier. Never got to try it as I converted to Electric Propulsion before the impeller needed changing. Still it looked like a great solution to the impeller change out on some Nonsuch engines. Too bad they are no longer made.
Is that the original with the evil half moon key and cir clip? I got so fed up trying to change that impeller on my w21 that I changed it for the new version…48080. it uses a pin and is easier to install.
No so bad I guess if you have a V drive, but hell on wheels with a regular shaft
My impeller just pops off the shaft out of the enclosure, and the shaft has a pin crosswise that catches the impeller. It’s not like the one in my Westerbeke manual and must have been changed by the PO.
Same as mine the 40800 model. I get my impellers from Sherwood and the only diff is the pin size is abit too big so I punch it out and replace it with the Westerbeke one.
