Two dip tubes for NS26U holding tank?

Hi, I’m in the planning stage for replacing the holding tank on my 26U. Looking at the plans, I’m wondering why 2 dip tanks are shown? I like the idea of two larger vent holes. My boat has just one pump out?

Are any Nonuch boats equipped with an overboard discharge for the holding tank?

Taking for granted you will have/ use an 1.5” intake hose for waste and one for discharge and possibly using a Y valve to route on the intake side either to the tank or overboard - that leaves ( what I believe might be your question?

If you show two smaller possible vents lines there’s a logic behind it. You would position one say near midships and one well aft of that along the exterior of the hull. The logic is to have the forward one facing the bow and the aft one facing the stern. This would substantially cut down on waste odors with a positive air flow . Did I get your Q correctly?

Sorry, looking back I wasn’t very clear with my post! I’m looking at the plans for the plastic holding tank replacement for the NS26U created for the ISA. There’s two 1.5" dip tubes (used to remove contents sucking from bottom of tank) shown in the plans and at first I couldn’t think what the 2nd dip tube would be for. The first is for getting pumped out in a harbor. Afterwards I remembered that, depending on local regs, you can also discharge to sea..which would use the second dip tube going to a pump and a seacock.

When I replace the tank, I’ll likely include the 2nd dip tube and cap it off to save that option for the future.
