West Long Island Sound What’s App - Now Hear This

Good morning fellow Nonsuch Owners,

With approval of the Nonsuch President I’d like to establish an option for any Nonsuch Member to access and post to the newly formed West Long Island Sound What’s App - message board. Doesn’t matter what area your from but the app will ‘hopefully’ be centered from NY Harbor to Stratford Shoals ( off Port Jefferson)

Various yacht clubs have successfully used a dedicated what’s app link for cruises and specific events during the sailing season . It offers immediate communication for immediate concerns.

If we can keep the app specific to cruising announcements and immediate cruising needs I think we will maximize the app and expand communication for our group of yachts.

For example , “NS 30 Ahab will be at anchor this weekend in Botany Bay and would welcome visiting Nonsuches to raft for libations”. - or - “ this is NS 36 Enterprise , anyone in Zircon Bay know a good diesel mechanic , we have an overheating issue”. - or- “ NS 26 DasBoot en route to the summer cruise wondering if anyone can tell us where best place to anchor in Fishers Isle.”

I live in the city as well , east end. We certainly don’t wish to ignore any Nonsuch and hope you’ll cruise Long Island Sound this summer. The West LIS group has held Labor Day raft ups for the last two years and will hopefully do so again this year.

If you join the What’s App group I’m hoping you’ll see other Nonsuch cruising plans during the summer. Where do you cruise mostly from Staten Isle? Gary
