West Marine is having their annual BOGO winch sale. Both winches have to be identical, so it’s not very likely anyone will find this useful for their own boat. But we have hundreds of examples of just a few models of boats, and that’s a lot of identical aging winches. I’ve read where members of this group have got together and coordinated purchases in the past. I don’t actually need any new winches, myself, but I thought I’d put this out there in case anyone else does. It can save you $thousands on the larger sizes. If you maintain your winches regularly you will know if any are nearing replacement time. (Though if you maintain them regularly they are probably fine.) If you don’t maintain them regularly, then this sale should be particularly attractive.
