I am lead to believe thatthe Fram oil filter PH2921 is equivalent to
the Westerbeke part number 35828, used on my engine. Can anyone confirm this?
thanks

Just wondering what other folks are using on the wooden slats that make up the louvers in the hatch board vent on their boats. When I replaced my hatch boards several years ago I took out the old vent and saved all the pieces. This past weekend I finally got around to sanding all the pieces and am un decided as to what to use on the slats. Once assembled and installed the slats will be difficult to re coat. For the frame I will be using varnish, I’ve learned over the years that is the, for me at least, easiest way to keep the hatch looking good.

When I had new hatch boards made up. I removed the vent area from the old board and reused it on the new ones. I stripped off the old varnish by hand and then varnished them. It was not all that difficult and looks great.
