What do boaters in the Great Lakes area add to their fuel tanks over the winter to prevent moisture accumulation and algae growth?
After topping off the diesel, I usually add Sea Foam and Bio-bor in the amounts recommended by the maker of each. Actually, I do the same whenever I add diesel.

Ralf, I got this from a Marine Engineer whom is a straight up, salt of the earth guy.
He recommends " Stanadyne Fuel additive ". So be my guest. I use it myself and it seems to have improved things.
I wonder about taping over the fuel vent fitting to further minimize air flow in and out of the tank during storage. Not sure if it amounts to enough to matter.

If your tank is filed ( as it should be or the winter) and you have a warm day – which will cause expansion and if you have your vent blocked off – the –well imagine the rest!!
Have a good winter

K100 works for me, there are many others as well. Put the required dose and fill the tank . There are many other products. Keep the water out and the fuel stays clean
