Planning for a swim platform install and need to identify whether or not this is a simple or more complex install. I have read where mid-80’s boat transoms were cored and read one report about an early 80’s boat that was thought to be solid.
Anyone with an '81 or close to that yea have knowledge about this?

Hi Eric, our 1987 30U’s transom is cored for about 1 1/2’ starting just below the deck-hull joint. The swim platform and support legs were mounted below the cored section in solid glass.
