I have a 33# (genuine) Bruce on my 30U. In my VERY limited experience in the Chesapeake, it’s done fine. However, I kept hearing about how great the next generation anchors are (Rocna, Manson Supreme, and Mantus). I tried out a Rocna and and Mantus on my boat. Neither one sat well on the bow roller. The Mantus did the best, but both rubbed or hung up on the bow roller support. Maybe your set up is different, but you might want to check.
