Howard: If the alternator is not charging, the tach won’t work. Make sure the belt is intact and the alternator is actually spinning. Look for loose or broken wires on the alternator and behind the control panel. If you’ve eliminated wiring problems, remove the alternator and take it to any auto electric shop for testing.
