Favorite summer harbors in west LIS

I’m sharing a favorite small harbor I’ve either anchored in or pirated a mooring in for over 30 years. - Zieglers Cove (see chart)
Easy in and out during all tides and a quiet harbor except in an E to NE wind.
Best time to arrive there is in the evening as during the day it’s a fave hangout for the younger set in small powerboats aka crowded. No marina , launch or services. best , Gary

If you have a fave harbor in Long Island Sound or Gardiners Bay please share ! Maybe other Nonsuchers would stop there enroute to the rendevous.

Nice spot, as is Lloyd Neck at the part of the Sound.

Which part of Lloyd Neck are you referring to ?

Oh - did you mean the sand hole? One of my most favorite anchorages but not for the faint of heart. Best to follow someone in for the first time.

That’s it just one way in and out, pretty spectacular.

A beautiful harbor but only accessible at high tide and nerves of steel.
