Fishing downrigger mount?

Hi- has anyone built a downrigger mount to sit/fasten behind the cockpit? I’m hoping to avoid drilling any holes in the deck. Maybe have some sort of clamp on somehow. Thx, JoeAdams, Lark 26C

Downrigger or just rod holder? I purchased a clamp-on rod holder that I use for holding my handheld radio/GPS/beer/mobile phone.

Thanks! Both! Rod holder , down rigger. Hope to build a base that would anchor them that I can clamp somewhere on left and right aft of cockpit.

I am Curious about your set up that holds a rod and a beer!

Here’s a photo. I have two mounted on my binnacle. If I were fishing I’d clamp them onto the stern rail.
