I have a NS30 Ultra # 218. When I put her away for the winter I noticed that the foot pedal was not easy to pump up and down and the flow of water coming out the top drain tube from the ice box was about 1/2 the volume that I normally get.
I replaced the brass 3 position valve a few years ago and the pump that is operated with the foot pedal was replaced 1 year ago.
Has anyone experienced this problem and if so how did you solve it?
I have found that labels off bottles and little bits of things have a habit of making there way through the icebox drain and either clog the line or clog the pump. Check the line first and if that’s not it disassemble the pump. I have found things lodged in the pump valves that hold them open reducing the efficiency of the pump. If you take the pump apart it’s useful to snap pictures as you go so you get the thing back together correctly.
The fix, of course, is to put a small screen over the ice box drain.
If you need a new pump I purchased the exact replacement at binnacle.com.
