I’m a little embarrassed to say I somehow turned a small project into a 5 month odyssey.
Luckily there were lots of other tasks completed in between tinkering with keel bolts. Some are interesting and I’ll document separately.
I learned a few things that might be helpful to others… ( HERE ) is a chronicle of my keel bolt adventure.

This is late in the game to bring up, but have you seen the article on keel drop and repair on www.Nonsuch.org under MEMBERS TIPS & PROJECTS? If not, you might find it of interest.
Would you be willing to package your write-ups and photos to post there as well? It’d make a really nice addition and the combination of yours and this would make a very complementary set.
