Copy and paste isn’t working… help?

The three options I know of are:

  1. Upload the PDF to Discourse. Click the upload icon, select the file, upload.
  2. Share the PDF file. Upload the file to a file server, like Google Drive. Get the “share URL”, paste it into Discourse.
  3. Share contents from the PDF. Open the PDF, highlight the parts you wish to share, copy, then paste into Discourse

Congrats on the win, good luch with the upload.

Ummm… upload the pdf to disclosure. How?

Took screen shot of the image, copy and paste… no problem. Trying to copy and paste the original pdf, big problem.

That Alberg has a gift of a rating

No kidding. It’s a club rating to keep members interested.

Congrats Ron!

213 for a C&C 27 is a pretty nice rating to have. Don’t start winning too often or the ratings for the 26 will get tougher.

The C&C has a fixed 3 blade prop and smaller headsail than stock. He also has a valid PHRF certificate. My certificate has me a 234 which I will use for races outside of our club but for our events I take a bit of a hit to keep it fun. Garden Bay Sailing Club - Where the racing is fun!

Regarding your Discourse question

I did a quick test to confirm my belief that the upload button will only support image files (although it does support some of the more exotic image file types). For everything else, it will usually create a URL link ending in 404, which brings up a “file/page not found” message.

Cut-and-paste works for text and images. If the text contains a link, the link will make it over, e.g., in the cut-and-past below, the “click here” works:

In short, the last two of Rob’s three suggestions are correct:
