Nonsuch Sailors
There have been a few discussions on composting heads over the years and I studied previous posts and would like to thank lloyd herman for his time and input on their installation.
Attached is a picture of my new installation. I am thrilled. I can use all drawers and cabinets with some accommodation. The hose detaches giving easy access to the back. Both small drawers are accessible but the bottom one not fully but enough to access anything in it. The large cabinet to the right with the toilet paper (for a standard head) opens with 1/4 inch clearance when the liquids container is removed. I will install a new external toilet paper holder next to the small drawers on the right. so that the cabinet doesn’t need routine access.
The liquid container is supported with a custom Seaboard cut out (not shown) attached with a piano hinge. The leg supporting it (not shown) is attached using a break away hinge that can lower the platform. However, that is not needed to remove or attach the liquid container.
I vented through one of the clam shell vents aft. I have not used it yet and will report back its performance. It was very comfortable to sit on and I can’t wait to use it! LOL.
