Re: The Excel Water Heater, I wonder if it may be possible to remover the cowl and flue from my old Paloma and install it on the Excel. Has anyone tried this yet ?

Hi all, I too have installed the Excel “ventless” in my NS 30C where the old Paloma was located. I put in a passive Nicro vent where the old duct was for the Paloma, and also have a separate Nicro solar powered vent in the head. No problems with the Excel as it is only on for very short periods of time. I did too put an adhesive-backed heat shield on the ceiling of the head over the heater, just in case.
