Does anyone have a usable Nonsuch 26 sail for sale? We ripped ours badly
and rather than pay for another repair a used sail may be the best way to
go.

The reality is that cruising sailors seldom buy a new sail until their old sail is pretty well blown out. If your ripped sail still had some reasonably decent shape to it, you might be better off having it repaired.
Allen, I believe Loch Syme will have his old sail which should be ok for what you want. He lives in Essex Ct. Home Phone 1 (860) 767 1248. He is listed on Pg. 28 of the 2009 year book…His boat with a new sail is pictured on page 82…Thats funny as my 30 is number 82, just happen to notice that…If your continplating a repair with any sail maker, he should be abe to advise you if it is worth doing. He will know if the cloth overall has enough life in it. A simple rip test in the area of your tear can give you the answer you need to make an informed decision… Jack Lombard

Allan-
I have the original Hood sail for my 26 ('83) which I will give to you for the cost of shipping. I bought a new Kappa sail this year and also a Tide Strong track. So old sail does not fit.

That sounds great. My apologies for the delay in replying, computers are not my favorite toy. I live in Ottawa Canada, close to the US border. I will enquire about shipping the sail to a UPS store in Ogdensburg NY. From where I can pick it up and personally deal with the border formalities.
Many thanks
Allan Maclatchy.
