These Happy Pacs look very trim and neat but 2 things bother me. On the Nonsuches that are pictured, this sail cover appears to be solidly attached to the mast by wat of 8 fasteners that are screwed into the mast ?? That may not be the best idea.
Also, on a reach or, especially, a run, the sail cover is going to get yanked, one way or the other, quite a bit as it doesn’t “slide around the mast” but is attached solidly to it.
Sorry, I’d go with Mack. The only other way to go is a canvas guy who has made excellent zip top covers for the mafia that sails out of Solomons, MD. I refer to the capo, Butch Garren. If he is reading this, maybe he could chime in. (You could make him an offer that he couldn’t refuse …)
