Swim Platform Bulk Order for 2009/2010 - Initial Information Request

Hello, all Nonsuchers. I’m happy to announce that we will be kicking off this year’s bulk order for swim platforms and the good news is that prices have remained unchanged from last year.

For the past four years I’ve coordinated the bulk ordering of swim platforms for our Nonsuch group. To date there have been over 2 dozen swim platforms made and shipped to locations in Canada and the U.S. To achieve bulk order pricing we should ideally have a minimum order of 5 platforms.

Apart from being a practical piece of equipment the safety afforded by the swim platform was brought home to me. As a personal note last summer my godson dove in the water only to discover that his shoulder had become dislocated. He was on the verge of losing consciousness from the pain. With help from someone in the water and on the swim platform we were able to get him (almost 200 pounds) firstly on the platform and then back in the cockpit. A lifting sling was out of the question in this case. We managed to pop the shoulder back in after about an hour while enroute to our home marina.

The following represents the current pricing. Please note that it is expressed in Canadian dollars and is exclusive of taxes and shipping.

Platforms without slats attached $1185
Platforms with Starboard slats attached $1395
Telescoping ladder (mounted under platform) $375 (Note that this ladder extends 40" into the water)
Replacement transom gate /pelican hook & shackles $85

If you would like to participate or simply have further questions please send me an email.

Would it be possible to send pictures of the different platforms available.
Thanks; Ian Hunter.

Hi Ian & August, have a look at this link http://www.pbase.com/nonsuch/swim_platforms It shows a variety of swim platforms. Look at the platform on Alpha Waves and Avalon to get an idea what the platform looks like. These two installations have a ladder that re-integrates with the stern rail. This is no longer available as the new platforms all come with a telescoping ladder that stows underneath the platform leaving the platfrom unobstructed.

If anyone out there has a picture they can send me of their swim platform installation with the telescoping ladder I’ll get it added to the pBase picture set.
