Things that go bump in the night

Saw this on my way back into harbor yesterday: 45 ft powerboat sunk in 25 ft of water.

The local harbor patrol marked it with that little round orange buoy off to the left. The US Coast Guard issued a Local Notice to Mariners regarding it the day before, but I don’t read those every day.

A lot of good that’ll do a night sailor.

A reminder to be careful out there, folks.

The US Coast Guard issued a Local Notice to Mariners regarding it the day before, but I gotta confess I don’t read those every day.

How about the black unlit oil rig mooring buoys off the coast of California?
