Hi
The replacement pump I got had an "O" ring for a gasket, just like the
Speed Seal. I modified the cover to have two parallel slots for the two bottom
screws just like the Speed Seal which allows leaving the two bottom screws loosened.
I also changed out the screws for "Allen Head" screws which makes handling them by touch
rather than totally in the blind.
Before getting drastic, I would try some "PB Blaster", many applications over a
week's time.
Hate the thought of removing the engine
With all the stuff removed (alternator, starting motor?, etc.) can you get better
access from the cockpit locker ?
