Windlass on NS36

I purchased my NS36 in November and it’s under winter cover in Rhode Island. My windlass is not functioning, despite the previous owner having installed a new motor. If I have to replace it, does anyone know the make/model of the windlass that was original equipment? I assume it was the right spec for this vessel.

Looked through the factory manual and there is no indication that there was a factory windlass option, although there was an optional deck wash.

Jamie has a point, what is wrong with your unit?? Is it electrical or mechanical?? Has a professional looked at it??

I have a Lewmar V2 installed on my 36 w/a 3/8" chain gypsy. My bower is a 45# spade w/ 200’ of chain plus 5/8 rode. This setup has worked very well for me in the past. I did glass in a flat plywood mount to raise up the height of the gypsy and beef up the deck, and simplify bedding the unit so there would be no water intrusion. Hope this helps.
