bow anchor roller for N26C

I have #34 N26C that only has the samson post at the bow,
I’d like to install an anchor roller with a bruce anchor, i’ve seen a few 26s with one mounted beside the samson post, any of you guys out there had an installation like this, and can tell me the best make and size roller needed for mounting
I’m in toronto,
suggestions for who to ask to install also appreciated!!

Contact Stainless Steel Outfitters in Barrie, they made me a new anchor roller mount for my NS 26C quite a few years ago and shipped it to me here in Florida. I use a 11KG Bruce anchor and keep it on the roller. Works great!

Klacko in St Catharines. Ontario has made many stainless steel parts for Nonsuch boats,. They have been around since the 1960’s and were a supplier to Hinterhoeller

Hello Angus,
I installed a bow roller in 2005 when I owned hull #111. You can see the boat & installed roller at this link:

I am pretty certain that the roller was a Windline URM-4 that I purchased at Defender.com (Defender item #000962). I bought this to fit a 22 pound delta anchor. As I recall, what determined the anchor roller size was not just the length of the anchor shank but the size of the anchor shackle I planned to use. I didn’t want the shackle to bind within the roller channel.
If you open up photo 9 of 9 and enlarge it, you can see how the roller extends over the samson post fitting. I had two holes drilled through the aft end of the roller by my marina shop. Then I used a piece of luan to make a template so that I could figure out where to drill the holes through the deck. In the photo you can see how I used a piece of HDPE as a shim under the bolt holes to keep the roller level. I also made a backing plate of the same material. This would be a simple & inexpensive job for any yard to do.
