Changing manifold gasket on W27

Photos like this bring back bad memories of the diesel days for me. I think the wise thing would be to replace all components from the manifold cap (looks pretty corroded where the exhaust pipe connects to it) to the exhaust elbow. Since you say the exhaust elbow is in good condition you can save $200+ bucks reusing it. I would not waste too much time trying to dissemble this stuff in the boat. Might be easier in the garage with a strong vise and hefty pipe wrench to get the exhaust elbow disconnected. That’s my two cents but, I do wish you good luck with your project.
