I am hoping someone has had a similar experience and knows of a solution to this challenge.
The fan belt on our Westerbeke 27 cannot be easily be aligned after changing the belt. The fuel pump wheel is about 1/2 “ too far aft compared to the engine and alternator wheels. Is there a key or slot that fuel pump wheel shaft needs to fit into that would allow it to set in place further forward?

Ric: I'm assuming you mean the drive belt for the fresh water pump and the alternator. All one should have to do to replace the belt is to loosen the the alternator and re-tighten it. I've never heard of a belt driving the fuel pump. Do you have a sketch or photo??
