Pardon if this was already common knowledge, but a few of Soave’s fenders went flat over the winter. I was stunned to see what they cost when purchased new, so I set out to investigate repair options.
Turns out there is a repair kit that includes 4 valves and two inflation needles that sells for about $5. After a couple failed attempts, I followed the advice in the instructions and purchased some non-curing silicone. Plumbers use it as pipe dope in food safe equipment.
Worked like a charm. Using the non-curing silicone I was even able to resurrect one of the old valves. There are a couple YouTube videos that explain and show the process. eTrailer had the kit in stock.
Smooth Sailing,
Rob
