Hull/deck gelcoat colour

Forgive me if this has been answered in the historical threads but I have searched and cannot find anything.

Does anyone know the colour blend or code used on the hull and deck gelcoat? I am going to repair a spider crack and would prefer not to try to do a visual match, albeit that I am sure the original colour has faded over the last 38 years.

I have seen 2oz pre coloured gelcoat kits for various boat brands but nothing specific to a Nonsuch.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks in advance

Don,

No guarantee that yours will be the same, but I’ve gotten a reasonably good color match with Magic Ezy products: https://magicezy.com/collections/marine

The color that worked for patches on both of my N26s has been “Oyster White”.

Thank you so much, Bob.

Hi Bob,

Can you please share a boat picture showing your colour scheme?

I am also looking for a match. My '85 N22 has an off white hull and ‘Taupe/Tan’ Topside. The topside is a very close match to Kryleron Fusion spey paint (River Rock). Picture of actual chip on top of paint can cap attached (Sharpie on white copy paper for reference).

As requested, a couple of pictures of Magic Ezy Quickfix Oyster White gelcoat patching applied to a 1987 Nonsuch 26…

The above is a partially-filled bow ding, showing the match against a relatively clean gelcoat in good light on a sunny day.

In contrast, this one is a patch on the cockpit coaming, with dirty gelcoat badly in need of a buff and wax, taken on a cloudy day that makes everything look a bit more blue-tinted.

Both illustrate that I’ve got some cleaning and waxing in my near future. (Sigh.)
