"Mystery Object" - Who can ID it ??

Greetings -

While cleaning out an under-settee compartment today, I discovered a soft rubber 5 inch long … I-don’t-know-what-it-is.

Can ANYONE tell me what this thing is ??

Thanks !!

I think that is used to hold extension cords together to keep them from becoming unplugged while you are working aloft, or below. ???

My guess is the same as Tim’s.

I vote for a power cord disconnect preventer. (X-rated answer self deleted.)

Thanks, all -

I agree with the idea of a PCDP (as Joe succinctly put it). But, it will only be of use with 2 “child size” power cords (like the types we routinely give our 3 year olds to play with, on a rainy day, outside).. The plug end and the socket end need to be quite small to jam them in.

As I mentioned to Cedric, a snubber this size would work when anchoring your rubber ducky to a cleat in the tub. THIS silly gadget would never be used by any of us old theatre production types -we just TIE the suckers together, code be damned.

See the attached evidence. Regardless, identifying this thing was, in my opinion, a coup.

Take care, everyone.

Well, MY parents never sent me out to play with power cords in the rain, Ernie.

They always told me to take my matches and go play on the freeway.

But, then again, we don’t get much rain in Los Angeles.
