Hi Jean,

I have a few questions that might clarify which pieces you are looking for. First, is Third Base a Classic or an Ultra. (It helps to put boat size length and location in your signature).

If you have a Classic, ignore this message. If you have an Ultra, the starboard dorade vent (I think that is what you are referring to) is over the shower. The port side vent is for the old paloma water heater. It is not for general ventilation, unless you are doing what I am. My Paloma heater had already been removed and the heater vent started to leak into my cupboard. I bought a teak dorade box and cowl. I am going to plumb in a vent from the dorade to a register I will install on the cabin wall, over the bed, and power it with a high volume 12v computer cooling fan. I found the Dorade box at Defender.com. I found a short version of the cowl at go2Marine https://www.go2marine.com/Sea-Dog-Low-Profile-Cowl-Vent-Snap-on-Deck-Plate?gclid=Cj0KCQiAo-yfBhD_ARIsANr56g5SumvcYkKQg4dNgyXLkbl5DID7sTQOiMNnfACoUKfstpOtiAKLE00aAgmKEALw_wcB. When reefed, my original cowl would get knocked off with every tack because the sail hangs a little lower.

Like Val posted, Mike Quill has lots of stuff, but rumor has it, he is retiring this summer.

Hi Charles,
Third Base is a Classic.
With the lien you posted, yes it’s the starboard dorade vent for the water heather, on top of the toilet room.
I will get back
All the best

If it is of any help, the picture shows a dorade vent and a Charlie Noble. My boat is equipped with a dorade vent on each side.

Good luck. If I can assist with pics or whatever, since I own a NS 30 classic, just holler at me.

Cheers,

Butch

Bienvenue, Jean, et felicitations. Welcome aboard and we hope you join the INA (if you haven’t yet joined). You will get a lot of good advice from Butch Garren and many other Nonsuch sailors very quickly. This is an excellent group of truly helpful folks.

Hey Jean - What a beautiful place you have in Berthier. Right on a narrow stretch of the river.

Club à vol d'oiseau

Cool place.

Yes, Club Nautique Berthier a realy nice place, 50-53 vessels, non profitable organization, almost 75 members and some social life to deiscover.
Have a nice dayto all.
