Hi Brian,
Norwalk PD posted a couple photos and said there was one person aboard that they rescued, but fire was too intense to fight with hand extinguishers. Norwalk FD responded and put out the fire.
Pictures show the boat was floating but badly damaged. Nobody was injured.

The boat that burned yesterday was towed to Norwalk Cove Marina. I’ll probably swing by later in the week to get the particulars. This morning I feed the images through some image recognition software and came up with a possible low confidence match. The match isn’t a local boat, and since it’s low confidence I’ll wait till I hear more before speculating.
The photos from the boatyard show intense heat damage.
Soave was launched last month with the travelift shown in the photo.
Makes me want to be even more vigilant with maintenance. Hope to hear more in a couple days about the cause of the fire and if there are any lessons that pertain to Soave or other Nonsuch boats.
