Our Barient 19ST winch has slightly smaller pawl springs than the readily available springs for the 10 and 23 models. Has anyone had any luck in finding a source for the smaller springs?

Thanks Mark. I already checked with them (Australian Yacht Winch, St Marys, Australia) and they said they don’t have them. “Not enough of a call for them”.

Check with The Binnacle in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I got some there in the spring (no pun). You might have to send them a photo or have them send you a photo with a rule in the image. Call 902 423 6464 and ask for Mac. He will be able to help you out.

The problem might be that you are asking for a specific Barient spring. I put Lewmar springs in my 19 and they worked just fine. You need to show someone the spring and have them match it up to another brand.

If you’re stuck there is a spring manufacturer here in Brighton and he has made one off springs for me for things like my lawn mower and has a stock on had that boggles the mind…
