Rub Rail Replacement

I knew the rub rail was not in the best of shape when I bought the boat. Since she was on the hard due to she shaft break, I decided to jump into the rub rail job.
It came off in pieces, all that was holding it on was prior owners liberal use of pounds of silicone caulk, wood filler and the stainless strips.
I decided on the PVC available from Hamilton Marine in Maine. When they told me delivery could be 3-4 weeks, I jumped in the truck and dragged the trailer 1100 miles in two days to get the two 20 ft. pieces home. The trip and the delivery charges were basically a wash.

Took two 70+ guys several days, but she’s done and I told the marina owner he needs to protect his piling from me now. HAHA
