During a recent 7 day passage I have somehow lost the first two (at the head and the next one below) battens from my sail. I am an hour and one half from my boat and I don’t have have my manual with me and would like to order the replacement battens asap. Can someone tell me the length of these battens? Thanks in advance.

Don’t just rush out and order battens based on what the manual indicates as this might be a newer or second (or third) sail and the sailmaker changed/modified the length/ screwed the length up slightly, etc.
I say this because a lot of us have “interesting ideas” about the length of these battens and just maybe, someone made a change. I’m certain that someone will quickly be able to give you the “designed” length but I’d double check by dropping the sail and shoving a tape up into the pocket and then taking 1/2" off the length that you get. Hey, maybe they’ll measure out to the original spec length. And, don’t forget about the width - not all battens are the same width.
